Respect Your Parents - The Best One

A father was sitting on the sofa in his house along with his highly educated son. Suddenly a crow perched on their window.
The Father asked his Son, "What is this?"
The Son replied "It is a crow".
After a few minutes, the Father asked his Son the 2nd time. "What is this?"
The Son said "Father, I have just now told you "It's a crow".
... ... After a little while, the old Father again asked his Son the 3rd time,
What is this?"
At this time some expression of irritation was felt in the Son's tone when he said to his Father with a rebuff. "It's a crow, a crow".
A little after, the Father again asked his Son the 4th time, "What is this?"
This time the Son shouted at his Father, "Why do you keep asking me the same question again and again, although I have told you so many times 'IT IS A CROW'. Are you not able to understand this?"
A little later the Father went to his room and came back with an old tattered diary, which he had maintained since his Son was born. On opening a page, he asked his Son to read that page. When the
son read it, the following words were written in the diary:-
"Today my little son aged three was sitting with me on the sofa, when a crow was sitting on the window. My Son asked me 23 times what it was, and I replied to him all 23 times that it was a Crow. I
hugged him lovingly each time he asked me the same question again and again for 23 times. I did not at all feel irritated. I rather felt affection for my innocent child".
While the little child asked him 23times "What is this", the Father had felt no irritation in replying to the same question all 23 times and when today the Father asked his Son the same question just 4 times, the Son felt irritated and annoyed.
So……
Moral- If your parents attain old age, do not repulse them or look at them as a burden, but speak to them a gracious word, be cool, obedient, humble and kind to them. Be considerate to your parents. From today say this aloud,
"I want to see my parents happy forever"

U Can Make Ur Life Better... Start it Now... :)

There were two brothers, who grew up together in a family. First one was a successful school principal, very disciplined and organized. He was respected by students & teachers alike. When asked about the reason for his success, he replied, " It's all because of my father. He was a disciplinarian & never tolerated breaking of any rules. I worked out my own ways to ensure that I don't give him any reason to complain. I owe my success to him."

The other brother turned out to be a ruffian who didn't have any job & ended up in jail many times. When asked about the reason for this behaviour, he replied, " It's all because of my father. He was a great tyrant & authoritarian & never tolerated any of my mistake. One day I couldn't take it any more, rebeled & left my house. He is responsible for destroying my life."

Our life is made of 10% what happens to us, over which we have no control and 90% how we react to it. However, normally we blame our circumstances (which is just 10%) for all our problems.

We have no control over traffic jams, delay in aircraft arrival or other such events. However, we have an option of cursing the situation, people & getting stressed OR read a book, listen to music while waiting. None of these things can change the situation but can definitely make a big difference to our lives....

Everything Happens For Good

Awesome Story 4 whole life... ♥
There was once a King who had a wise advisor. The advisor followed the King everywhere, and his favourite piece of advice to the King was . . . 'Everything happens for the good.'
One day the King went hunting and had a small accident when his bow slipped and he shot an arrow into his own foot. Fortunately he was not badly injured but as always he was compelled to ask his advisor what he thought about the accident, to which the advisor replied, 'Everything happens for the good.'

This time the King was really upset and ordered for his advisor to be put in prison.

The King then asked his advisor, 'Now, what do you think?'

The advisor again replied, 'Everything happens for the good.' and with that he was taken away to be imprisoned.

About a week later the King went on another hunting trip, this time without his advisor and with his injured foot still not fully healed. As it turned out the King was captured by some cannibals and taken to their camp where he would be prepared to be the evening meal for the cannibals. Before putting him into the cooking pot he was thoroughly inspected and the cannibals saw the wound on the King's foot and decided to throw him back into the jungle. According to the cannibal's tradition, they would not eat anything that was imperfect or in any way injured.

As a result the King was spared and he then realized what his wise advisor said was true. The advisor also escaped death because had he not been in prison, he would have followed the King on the hunting trip, and would have no doubt ended up in the cooking pot.

It is true that everything in our lives happens for a purpose, and most often for our own good. If you think about it, all our past experiences actually happened to bring us to where we are today and in the main make us a better person. So, whatever challenges that we may face today, consider it happening to bring us to the next level and always remember . . .
Our life experiences are our best teacher. Everything Happens For A Good Reason... :)

Happiness In Little Things

Once upon a time there was a golden songbird that lived in a beautiful garden. It spent all its days singing the loveliest songs to the honour of its maker and the delight of all the people who heard it.

But the keeper of the garden, who was a foolish and greedy man, coveted the little songster, and one day he made a cunning net in which he snared it. The little bird begged the man to release him and promised to tell him three great secrets if only he would let him go. Now the gardener really was a very greedy man and rubbing his hands together, he eagerly released the bird.

Then the songbird told him it’s three great secrets:

Never believe all that you hear;

Never regret what you have never lost, and
never throw away that which you have in your keeping.

The gardener was furious when he heard this and said he had known these so-called ‘secrets’ since he was a little child and shouted that the bird had tricked him. But the songbird quietly replied that if the man had really known these three secrets, or only the last of them, he would never have let him go.

Then the bird added:

“I have a most precious jewel weighing over three ounces hidden inside me and whoever possesses that marvellous stone will have every wish granted.”

On hearing this, the keeper roared like a lion and cursed himself for setting the songster free. But the little bird only added fuel to his rage by explaining that since he weighed no more than half an ounce at most, as anyone with eyes could plainly see, how was it possible that a gem weighing more than three ounces could be hidden within it’s tiny body?

At that the man tore his hair and lunged at the bird in a towering rage, but the little songbird flew to a nearby branch and added sweetly:

“Since you never had the jewel in your hands you are already regretting what you never lost, and believing what I told you, you threw it away by setting me free.”

Then the little songbird told the man to study well these three great secrets and so become as wise as the bird himself!

Do Something For Others

A young and successful executive was driving down a country side, going a bit too fast in his new car.

As his car passed, a big stone smashed into the car's side door! He applied the brakes and drove the car back to the spot where the stone had been thrown. The angry driver then jumped out of the car, caught the man and pushed him up against a parked car, shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? That's a new car and that stone you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?"

The young man was apologetic. "Please sir... please, I'm sorry... I didn't know what else to do," he pleaded. "I threw the stone because no one else would stop...". "It's my brother," he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up." Now sobbing, the man asked the stunned executive, "Would you please help me get him back into his wheelchair? He's hurt and he's too heavy for me."Moved beyond words, the driver tried to swallow the rapidly swelling lump in his throat. He hurriedly lifted the handicapped man back into the wheelchair, then took out his fancy handkerchief and dabbed at the fresh scrapes and cuts.

"Thank God and may God bless you," the grateful man told the stranger. Too shook up for words, the man simply watched the man push his wheelchair-bound brother down the sidewalk toward their home.

The damage to car was very noticeable, but the driver never bothered to repair the dented side door. He kept the dent there to remind him of this message: Don't go through life so fast that someone has to throw a stone at you to get your attention..

Saint and The Scorpion

Once there was a saint sitting besides a river. He noticed a scorpion drowning in water. He put his hand below the scorpion to save it from drowning. While taking it out water, he got stung by scorpion. His hand shook & the scorpion was back into the water.

The saint got stung many times while trying to save the scorpion from drowning. There was another man who noticed this incident & couldn't help asking the saint the reason for saving the scorpion who was so ungreatful.

The saint replied, "I was doing my job and so was the scorpion".

Most of times our actions & response towards others gets decided by what response we got or expect to get from others. That is when we do injustice to ourselves & our purpose for existence. Our actions should be led by our goals, irrespective of what treatment we get in return...
